A’s for J’s Partcipation

West Chester University

Through the A’s for J’s College Tour Series, students have an opportunity to visit various colleges and universities, learn about the school, academics, student life, campus culture, and programs offered by the institution. Our goal is to ensure that our students have the information and resources that they need to attend college after graduation and excel once they get there.

Our A’s for J’s students participated in their first college tour trip to West Chester University on Friday, December 2nd:

What Is A’s for J’s?

VILLA and Jordan Brand created A’s for J’s in 2013 to celebrate academic excellence—for every “A” earned in English, math and/or science each marking period, a student receives $25 credit on Jordan merchandise at VILLA store locations. This year, students will also receive a $25 credit if they maintain 90% or higher school attendance per marking period. Throughout the school year, A’s for J’s members are given the opportunity to participate in various educational, personal, and professional development events and programs.

A’s for J’s Scholarship

VILLA and Jordan Brand are committed to ensuring that education is attainable and that students have the opportunity to pursue their dreams. As such, we will be bringing back the A’s for J’s scholarship! These scholarships will be awarded to every A’s for J’s graduating senior who fully participates in the program. The scholarship will give students the opportunity to attend a 2-year institution, 4-year institution, or trade school, and will cover any remaining costs for tuition, room & board, and fees not covered by the students’ Financial Aid Award package.

“Education is the key to opening up doors of opportunity for our youth. By strengthening programs like A’s for J’s, we do our part to continue to close the achievement gap in our country. As such, VILLA and Jordan are excited to launch the A’s for J’s program for a fourth year, and continue the programs progress!”—Rodney Robbins, Manager of Community Engagement, VILLA
