Spike Lee’s relationship with Michael Jordan extends to the 90’s. Once the primary sidekick of MJ in commercials for the Jordan 4 and 5, Spike would forever immortalize himself in Jordan Brand’s legacy as the ultra-nerdy original sneakerhead known as Mars Blackmon. Since then Spike has maintained a consistent connection with Jordan and the Jumpman earning his own colorways inspired by Mars and some of his most notorious movies including Do The Right Thing.
Now on his third signature sneaker, Spike Lee continues to build on his footwear legacy. The new Spike Forty draws inspiration from the Air Jordan 5 and delivers a modern take on the retro classic. Updates on the silhouette include a completely TPU upper for a lighter weight.
The Spike Forty is available now at VILLA for $180.
