U.S. STIMULUS FUNDS HELPING PHILADELPHIA

The economic stimulus plans looks like it is helping citizens of Pennsylvania since the beginning of summer according to an article written online for the Philadelphia Inquirer. John Barrett (49), Michael Volpe (61), and Randy Myers (32) were all unemployed before the package and are now all back to work. Even though some jobs are being created from the package, a lot of people still have questions on if the money is reaching those in need. Seeing the creation of jobs lets others know that the money has reached the street level, but is it enough? Philadelphia is set to receive $90.6 million from the stimulus package and even though many may feel like it has not reached “street” level, it has, it is just needs to be spent wisely so it is not being seen as fast as many would like it to.
