The Cavaliers have agreed in principle to acquire Shaquille O’Neal from the Suns for Ben Wallace and Sasha Pavlovic, an NBA source confirmed late Wednesday night.The deal for O’Neal is the latest move by Cleveland in its attempt to build a strong supporting cast around league MVP LeBron James, who can become a free agent in 2010.

Last week, (Phoenix center) Shaquille O’Neal said, “I just want to keep winning championships. What matters to me now is seeing if I can help a team get a ring. The way (the Suns) were playing, running all the time, we weren’t going to win a ring. If we want to win it, we need to slow it down, we need to play defense and we need to get me the ball.”

Now the only question is will Shaq get a ring?
