So your boy Jay-Z received a prestigious honor of a humanitarian award last week, presented to him by the United Nations in New York , and no publicity behind it…..what’s up with that? Jay-Z has been working on raising money for some time now in order to help manage the world water crisis. Through a tour in 2006, he began raising awareness of the water epidemic. While in Africa, Jay-Z provided aid in struggling communities and even helped provide over 1,000 water pumps so that the death rates could be reduced, which is currently at 15 seconds before a child dies. This is due to lack of available water, let alone being adequate.

My point behind all of this is that Kanye West makes the 11 O’clock news for losing his cool at the LAX airport, but Jay-Z does not get any love for his hard work that earned him a humanitarian award presented to him by the United Nations. What is the media coming down to these days? What ever it is, people around the world appreciate what you are doing and your fans, and this is all that matters. Keep doing your thing Jay.
