VILLA is working with The American Red-Cross and Convoy of Hope to raise money and send food to support the victims of the earthquake in Haiti. You can Join the Movement by donating canned goods or a financial gift at any VILLA location. Your donation will provide food, shelter and medical treatment for thousands of families. What could my gift actually buy? 

$5 - Provides a water container to store clean drinking water.

$10 - Provides a blanket that is appropriate to the climate and culture of the disaster-affected area.

$25 - Provides a family of 5 with a kitchen set giving them the ability to coo and serve food. This includes two cooking pots, a frying pan, bowls, plates, cups and utensils.

$30 - Provides essential hygiene items like toothpaste, shampoo, body soap, toilet paper, towel, etc to 5 people for one month.

$60 - Provides tarps, rope, wood and tools for a family of five to build a temporary shelter.

$100 - Provides a cooking set, hygiene pack, blankets and water containers for one family of five following a disaster.

$500 - Provides a family tent for a family of 5.

 

How do I know my donation is safe? Is it going to the government?

All donations made to the American Red Cross stay within the Red Cross organization. During an international disaster, like the earthquake in Haiti, the money will be given to the International Red Cross. They will retain the donation and spend the money appropriately on deploying personnel, providing relief supplies and direct financial assistance. The Red Cross takes full responsibility of donations and all money contributed to us will be used solely by our organization. 

 

AIR YEEZY VS. TK SOCIETY NBA SHOW OFF

The Lakers showed last year that they were with out a doubt the best team in the NBA. The team led by the “Black Mamba” himself Kobe Bryant, showed just how dominant they could be by winning the NBA championship. Kobe Bryant is the best player on the Laker team, maybe the entire world some would say. However, he didn’t win the title by himself; he was helped a great deal by versatile all-star forward Lamar Odom. The chemistry between the two played a pivotal role during their quest for a championship.

However, at a recent red carpet event for the opening Philippe Chow’s fifth namesake restaurant the two went head to head with fashion. Kobe Bryant strolled down the red carpet wearing the Nike Air Yeezy in the black/grey/pink color way. It’s safe to say that the Air Yeezy was the hottest sneaker of the year. Kobe Bryant is the best on the court, but Lamar Odom came with his A game for red carpet. Lamar Odom strolled down the red carpet with the latest fresh color way of the Supra TK Society. Arguably, the TK society is the second best sneaker of the year. The navy blue/black/white color way went nice with his grown man, but relaxed outfit. There have been many debates about which of the two shoes were the best sneakers of the year. Now what Laker won this battle? VILLA sold all three color ways of the Nike Air Yeezy and the Supra TK Society is still available at select VILLA location.

Finally, Nike is bringing out another half cent. This Nike Half Cent come in a black and gold colorway, the sickest colorway of them all. Not only does the color on the sneaker stand out, but the design definition as well. Expect this sneaker to drop this July.
