WAYNE HIT WITH 500k LAWSUIT

Yesterday (April 21), lil Wayne was hit with a 500k lawsuit by super producer Jim Jonsin. Jonsin produced the Grammy Award winning single “Lollipop” for Weezy’s Carter III. Jim Jonsin claims that he hasn’t been paid any royalties from the hit single which was released back in 2008 and went to number one on the Billboard charts.

He was at VILLA’s Lee Harvard Cleveland location this past Thursday, April 15, signing autographs and greeting his fans as they were being signed up for the 2010 census. Last October, David Ortiz naming a club in the Dominican Republic “Forty/Forty.” We all know about the 40/40 club in the U.S. owned by rapper/business man Jay-Z which has been operating since 2003. It seems to be problem with Jay because is seems that Ortiz is using the same name to capitalize off the success of Hov’s spot.

Eminem almost freaked fans out when he announced that there was no Relapse 2. Eminem has announced forthcoming studio album will be entitled “Recovery”.

“I had originally planned for Relapse 2 to come out last year,” Eminem explained. “But as I kept recording and working with new producers, the idea of a sequel to Relapse started to make less and less sense to me, and I wanted to make a completely new album. The music on Recovery came out very different from Relapse, and I think it deserves its own title.”

NAS ORDERED TO PAY KELIS AGAIN

 According to TMZ.com rapper Nas was recently ordered by a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge to relinquish over $250,000.00 to R&B artist and soon to be ex-wife, Kelis. He has been ordered to pay $47,249.42 in back child support, $40,454 in back spousal support and $155,787.28 to cover 90% of her legal fees.
 
 The rapper must also pay an ongoing amount of $10,000 a month as payment towards the $299,015 he owes her in spousal support. The last fee added was for Kelis’ accounting bills amounting to $48,549.83.
 
Both Nas and Kelis are preparing to release albums this year. Nas’ album Distant Relatives, with reggae artist Damien Marley, drops May 18th and is expected to gain notoriety on the charts. Kelis’ album Flesh Tone will hit stores July 6th.

Nicki Minaj Fires Flocka’s Mother

Nicki Minaj has fired her manager Debra Antney, who is also the mother of rapper Waka Flocka Flame.

According to Waka Flocka’s mother, the news came when she received a series of letters, banning her from doing business
with Minaj. “I received a letter, which was a suspension,” said Antney in a recent interview. “The next letter that came in was a cease and desist in doing all business with Nicki Minaj from Nicki’s attorney.”

Debra Antney is currently Gucci Mane’s manager and CEO of So Icey/Mizay Entertainment, an Asylum/Warner Bros affiliate.
