ALLEGHENY MORNING CLEAN UP

What a way to start the morning, helping out with the ” Love Where You Live” clean up in our community. This morning brought out the best in everyone. I thought this site was going to be a hard site to accomplish, but when we staring working time just flew. We didn’t even want to stop. Check out the pictures above to see how much fun we had. 50TH CHESTER AVE CLEAN UP

Exciting! Fun! Gaiety! These are the words that describe the “Love Where You Live Clean Up” on 50th in Chester Ave this pass Friday. This was truly a boon to see the community come together with so much positive aspiration focusing on the up keep of their neighborhood. This was a tough site to work on, but where there is a will, there is a way. I really enjoyed seeing the community work together with so much joy. LOVE WHERE YOU LIVE AT COBBS CREEK

This Saturday’s “Love Where You Live” Clean Up at Cobbs Creek was a big success. The Community really showed their hearts for the neighborhood, by participating in this event. The kids helped in the biggest way, with their brooms, paint brushes and smiles that really made this a fun environment. Everyone at this site worked as one with one objective in mind “Love Where You Live”. This event also brought out special appearances with Charlie Mack, Peedie Peedie, DMC, and others that supported the cause. Love Where You Live isn’t just a slogan, but a movement that’s sweeping our neighborhoods.

PITTSBURGH GRAND OPENINGS

The Grand Opening Celebrations in Pittsburgh were a big success. We Opened two stores, one on 435 Wood Street and the other at 115 North Highland Ave. The community really embraced us in their neighborhoods. Wamo & Kiss radio stations put us on blast and helped us interact even more with our customers. We had games, giveaways, and special deals that kept our customer happy. We donated a total of $1000.00 to the Boys & Girls Club just to show our appreciation to the community. We had special guest appearances by Bruce Bruce the comedian at Wood St. and professional feather weight champion boxer Monty Meza Clay at our Highland St. store. These special guest appearances really got our customers excited. This weekend’s grand openings were the talk of the town in Pittsburgh. Stay tuned for more grand openings coming to a neighborhood near you.

SAN JUAN BAUTISTA FESTIVAL

Sunday was a great day for the San Juan Bautista Festival (John the Baptist) at Wiggins Park in Camden N.J.. This festival takes place in Camden every year. Mega radio station heads up this festival with live music and fun. The Parade is the grand event that the entire community awaits. On this afternoon, always the last Sunday in June, an extravaganza filled with Puerto Rician culture, music, marching bands, decorated floats, dancing groups from around the community come together for celebration. This is the event most Southern Americans indulge in.

NIKE SUPPORTS BOYS & GIRLS CLUB IN NEW YORK

Look out China, here comes the 2008 Men’s Olympic Team. The Boys and Girls Club’s of Reading and Camden got a chance to see the players who will be playing in the 2008 games. Roc a Fella Plaza was turn into a B-ball court for a couple of hours so that the kids would get a chance to see the athletes. The legendary Dj Clark Clint was on hand to play the theme for the team. Some of the players who were on hand to meet and greet were, Colby Bryant, D.Wade, Lebron James, Dwight Howard and Jason Kidd. After seeing the players, the kids got a chance to go to the Olympic Museum up in Harlem NY. This is where they had all the jerseys and pictures from the past Olympic teams. Don’t forget to watch them on TV.
