EDGEWOOD GRAND OPENING RECAP

4. February 2009

The Edgewood Grand Opening was a big hit in the eastern Pittsburgh area. We decided to celebrate the new store opening with a Steelers tailgate party. It turned out to be the perfect way to kick off Super Bowl weekend since the Steelers were playing in it the next day. We had a great crowd, and the people definitely were out in full force representing their team. We met with local community members, gave away Timberlands, $50 gift cards, and of course the Steelers tailgate party. More than 150 people stood in line on Saturday morning for the gift card giveaway. Thanks to the Edgewood team for hosting a great show, and the rest of the team that was there.

The block party of all block parties was on 40th Lancaster Ave. this pass Saturday. Local artist came to this event and shut it down with no problem. We had sales, that people couldn’t believe were true. The Cadillac and Impala car club came siting low with love, if you know what I mean. We had special appearance from Sheryl Lee Ralph from the Moesha show, Councilwomen Blackwell and more. We even had moon bouncers for the children, free food, and sneaker giveaways. What more can one want at any block party. I don’t mean to pat ourselves on the back, but we really threw a hell of a party.
