GERMANTOWN CLEAN UP

On Saturday, April 18th, the Germantown team participated in the Philadelphia citywide neighborhood initiative “Spring in Your Park.” The Germantown team worked with their JTM Community Partner, Nicetown Community Development Corporation and several neighborhood volunteers to “clean and green” park grounds, community orchard, and a special gateway garden project.

PHILLY SPRING CLEAN-UP

On Saturday, April 4th, 2009, the entire city of Philadelphia came together for some good old fashioned spring cleaning. Neighbors, businesses and community members worked together on beautification projects throughout the city. Almost twenty VILLA volunteers participated in a cleaning and painting project at Clemente Playground in North Philadelphia. The forecast may have been windy and cold, but it was a beautiful day of service in this Philadelphia neighborhood.
